I've had a few people ask me today why post something so depressing? Let me explain...

I for one dont see it as depressing but rather a celebration of Odens life and how deeply he was loved by Jason Wood, his friends and family. I also feel it celebrates the amazing relationships humans develop with animals and the sense of loss that is felt when these relationships come to an end. If anything, it made me realize how much I appreciate all of my close relationships (both human & with my own dogs) and that I should never take these amazing relationships for granted. Unconditional love is one of those very rare things in life we experience and it can disappear just as quickly as it appears...

hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.

Lost my choc. lab 3 years ago to a tumor,he lived 13 good long years , best damn dog i have ever owned, i cried like a baby that day i took him in (my g/f was a crying mess 2)..it sucked but it was the best thing for him- it was his time - he wasnt getting better, but worse and was in pain...
He was always there no matter what, and brought as much joy and love to me as i did to him....
2 days after i found/got my new-current dog from a rescue, 2nd best dog i have ever owned...in a way it was kind of like the lab sent him to us...
So when i think of the lab i always try to think of all the joy he brought to me and all those around me..he was a great dog and will always be a great dog
