random bits for the weekend

Got my rear wheel rebuilt this week as the CR18 I was rolling on was on it's last leg. Lasted a good year and a half but a couple of incidents shortened the wheels lifespan. Had a weird vertical wobble no one could seem to true and I broke spokes quite regularly. So the whole thing started with the rim; I got a great deal from Kyle on this Gold Velocity Deep V rim and then had Blackshaw over at Ace build the wheel up for me for a bit of a cross store collaboration. 4 cross action, I have a feeling this one will hold up quite nicely...






Here's a short video Andrew put together. What I love about it (besides him chugging hipster ketchup and beer) is that it was all shot with a Flip Mino HD camera.

On the openings tip, Stardust is celebrating the opening of their new bar tonight. It looks awesome and its hard to imagine the place without it now. Anyone interested in meeting up and having a few tonight, hit me up on the hotline. It's close to the house so the ride home is idiot proof...
