A shot of Casa de Curry during the You Love to Hate After Party. It wasn't planned at all and it just happened spontaneously; like the best ones always do. What you don't see is the large amount of people on the other porch as well... :)
Had a blast last night at the show and managed to get a serious swerve on while looking at some dope work. I heard a few people picked up a few of the pieces which makes me happy there are patrons that support the urban art scene here in town. Seriously, this town needs more events like this as it was a breathe of fresh air to the somewhat stale Saturday night ritual. Too bad the Po-niner came by and closed the party down. Something about needing a permit to host an event like this. (WTF? I guess for the alcohol?) I knew it was all over once the short cop (seriously, the guy was like 5 foot 2) parked his cruiser in the middle of the street, turned on his lights and strutted over to his partner as he spoke to Julio (owner of the building). His body language spoke volumes of what he was thinking. [steps on soapbox]Good job OPD for stomping on the neck of culture in this town. I feel a fuck load safer as a result.... [/steps off soapbox]
If you missed out, your bad! don't sleep on the next one! Andrew, thanks for letting us use your humble home to get primed before and of course the impromptu after party afterwards! You truly are the hosts of hosts!
PS Hugs, we miss you sucker... It just ain't the same with out you. You miss any more and you are officially a sell out! :)
PSS Kevin, eat a freakin' banana sometime... :) seriously though, get well!

i totally forgot about that show.
i was riding some on saturday, but between the bbq, the birthday party, and downtown it was a full day.
last i checked my phone still works, but i can't be sure cause i haven't heard it ring.
tomorrow i should be out :)
yeah I've been sucking on calling people lately... I thought I texted you the other day when I went out for a ride. Maybe I just thought I did? Sometimes I think I do things and really don't...
I've been getting back to the basics and been doing a lot of solo riding as of late. It's kind of nice actually as I just hit the spots I want. Yesterday evening I hit a few spots downtown and then stopped off at howard middle school and sessioned the b-ball court for a bit. Worked on a few things and took advantage of the large flat area to practice backwards riding. Thought about stopping by your crib for a minute but hunger got the best of me...

BTW, regarding that news story:
Florida law states that a car must give a cyclist 3 feet of clearance when passing. How often does that actually happen and do the Police plan on ticketing drivers that don't?
Also, I personally do not see what the problem is on a multi-lane road. For some drivers to belly ache about having to switch lanes in order to pass a group of cyclists comes off rather petty. Not to mention the threats by police about targeting just the cyclists seems pretty one sided to me. Especially when we all have numerous examples of being harassed by drivers who don't share the road...
Just my observations....

I gotta stop going out of town. I was so pumped to hit this up, and then last monday decided to head to ATL this weekend. I won't do it again.
damn cole, you're another one who has been M.I.A. like a mofo! hope to see you around some time...

East Orlando is holding a small alleycat around the UCF area to promote the new co-op forming there; it'd be great if you could post the flyer, my name links to where the flyer is posted.
