Good luck to those making it out G-ville today!

Unfortunately myself and some of the 407 fixedgear crew won't be making it out there today for a variety of reasons. I hear Metha is still going as well as Shaka and some other peeps. Good luck, ride hard and above all have fun out there!

Shablack and I are meeting up later on this afternoon to do a little riding downtown.. No crazy distance shit, just riding around and hitting up some garages / parking lots for a little trickery. We are also a go for trick night tonight for those of you that are not making it to Gville for the race. Same time, same place as always. Holler at us in the comments section if you want to meet up...

Ahhhh...my right shoulder got injured before the race even started, so I had to sit this one out.

Sorry to disappoint all of you, but i didn't even place top twenty. I was in second place on the second to last check point and i guess when they told me that, i got really excited and instead of going to NW 3rd St. and 7th ave. i went to SW 3rd St. and 7th ave.
That means i went 28 block out of the way! I was so pissed!!!
I felt a little better when i found out that Pete and Correy didn't place top 20 either (i think? Wait, maybe Pete did get into the teens, i can't remember.)
Well it was kinda messed up, because after they collected the top twenty Manifest they stopped collecting anymore. So from what i can understand, after the guy was going through the manifest he only really had the top 12 who actually completed all the checkpoints. And it looked like after he realized he did not have enough, he was still taking in more manifest. Note that this was after mine was denied.
The other thing was that he never seemed to write down who was fixed or single speed or geared for the florida fixed gear points system.
Anyways the weekend was fun and it was for a good cause so that makes me feel a little bit better. The gainesville kids are great riders though i would like to see more of them away at other events though. They had some beautiful bikes.
I did miss the big Orlando crew though. Wish you guys where there and i wish i could have represented you guys better. I didn't even do the skid contest because i was so disappointed in myself. Sorry dudes double let down.
Oh and poor juan, the spill he had BEFORE the race looked pretty nasty. His helmet was beat up pretty bad i'm real glad he was wearing it or he probably would of cracked his head open. Hope your shoulder feels better buddy.
Awesome hope to see everyone tuesday for the tryouts. Looks like it might rain so we might postpone it for the following tuesday or even sunday during the day depending on who can make it out.

Oops. My fault, Pete did place top twenty. Twelfth actually. He such i nice dude that he said it all nonchalantly that i thought he did bad. Anyways here is the rest of the info.
"I'm glad everybody had a great time! The turn out was great and everybody here really appreciated having so many out of town people visiting and checking out the kickstand. Jax brought a substantial 12 people, with Tampa/St. Pete and Tally around 10. St. Augustine, Orlando, Sarasota, Pensacola, FTL, ATL?, and Nashville?. Someone also claimed Oregon...

I have to apologize for the school board quality spoke cards... we tried to keep everything free so the entry money would go to the kickstand, as well as FNB and point series prize pot. Hindsight, we should've run them through the laminator again. Whisper me your address if you want me to send you a replacement.

Here's the results for fixed riders:
1. Dallas Herndon - Tpa
2. Will Troutman - Tpa
3. Andrew Lehaus - Gville
4. Ryan Hickey - Gville
5. Mark Blume - Gville
6. David Mackinnon - Jax
7. Greg Mitchell - Gville
8. Jason Williams - Gville
9. Bert Griffin - Gville?
10. Chris Miller - Gville
11. Matt Bort - Jax
12. Pete Young - Tpa
13. Dave Japenga - Tpa
14. Danny Noriega - Tpa/Stp
15. Joe Flanagan - Sarasota
16. Mike Lipscomb - Gville
17. John Arvin - Jax
18. Barry Bernard - Gville
19. Gary Morgan - Gville
20. Erik Biking Viking - Jax

Non fixed, 1st place was Andrew on a single speed, then Brendan McGrath (McGrath Bicycles) came in fixed, but he didn't do the Time Trial part of the TT checkpoint with that beastly short hill, so volunteered himself out. After that was Action Dan but he mixed up a checkpoint and missed the bathouse. Then Justin Deleo came in on a road bike. Next was Dallas, 1st fixed and then the other top 20."
