just read on prolly's blog sheldon brown has passed away.
i for one spent many hours on his site trying to gleam just some of what that guy knew about bicycles; and although i never actually met the guy, i feel i learned a lot from him.

sad day indeed... I learned a s#%t load about bikes (fixed and freewheel) off his site over the course of the years. I hope they keep his site up not just as a resource but also as a memory to the man...
